Is it possible to have an infection without infection?

In pregnancy, infections can adversely affect both pregnant and fetus.
Although it is not possible to have an uninfected pregnancy period, it is possible to make it undamaged by the measures and correct diagnosis and treatment.

TORCH (Toxoplasma, Other: syphilis, parvovirus, Rubella, Cytomegalovirus and Herpes) group infections can seriously affect the fetus and lead to many anomalies.
However, screening of these diseases during pregnancy or with the first pregnancy visit is controversial as it may lead to unnecessary termination of pregnancy with incorrect results and comments.
It is better to take the necessary precautions by screening before being pregnant.

rubella Pregnancy in women who are planning to become pregnant (rubella) should be screened and if necessary vaccination should be done. Pregnancy can be planned within 28 days after vaccination.
Scans such as measles, mumps, chickenpox, hepatitis B should be done in advance. The toxoplasma serology should also be viewed preferably without conception. Preventive measures should be applied in those with negative toxoplasma serology.

HIV and hepatitis B should be screened for all pregnant women. Pertussis, cytomegalovirus and Zika, which are not present in our country, are infections that can cause serious problems in the baby rather than in pregnant women. Influenza is a disease that can have serious consequences for both the pregnancy and the baby. Pregnancy, influenza and whooping cough during pregnancy is preventive and important. Urinary tract infections are common because of pregnancy. It is important that antibiotics that may have adverse effects on the fetus are not required and are recommended by experts.

Contact with young children, pets, (especially cats) and people with signs of disease should be restricted if possible.

Raw meat, non-pasteurized milk and non-clean raw food and water should not be consumed.
